Devidhura Bagwal, Champawat

Devidhura is an old town, situated about 58 km from Lohaghat, in the backdrop of the high Himalayan Mountains. This town is full of dense forests having oak and deodar trees, which meet with the three districts of Nainital, Almora and Pithoragarh. There are some archaeological ruins at this site, which belong to megalithic culture that were found in 1858 by Henwood. The festival of Bagwal during Raksha Bandhan is celebrated at a grand level at the Barahi Temple, which is situated within the town of Devidhura.
