Khatling trek has been yet unknown to many. The destination point of the trek is the Khatling Khatling glacier is a lateral glacier, at the source of river Bhilangana. According to legends a celestial nymph tried to lure Lord Shiva, while the almighty was at meditation. She was spurned by him and was dissolved into liquid form, thus originating the Bhilangana. Nature has bestowed her bounty on the value of Bhilanagan in abundance, and the rich pasture lands are ideal camping sites. The Khatling Glacier is associated with the giant hanging glaciers of Ratangian, Jogin and Phating. The moraines on the sides of the glaciers look like standing walls of gravel and mud. a Semi- frozen lake, called Bhil Sarovar, is the central point on one of the moraines. The flat land on these morains and the Kunali bugyals are excellent pasture lands during summer and rainy season Glacier, which is the source of the river Bhilangana. The Bhilangana valley is a heaven� for the photographers and nature enthusiasts. The vista encountered here is simply incomparable. The entire valley is surrounded by snow-clad mountains and lynching glaciers. This trek covers the complete topography of Uttarakhand, the grandeur of the lush-green meadows, sprinkled with the numerous streams alongside the glaciers is remarkably unbelievable. The trek gets thrilling as you reach a great altitude, as the meadows convert into moraines, which keeps your adrenaline pumping.
